Bio
Nina Young is a born and raised New Yorker who is of Swedish and Puerto Rican descent. She went to the Bronx High School of Science and continued her education at Williams College where she studied Japanese. Initially, she was as an analyst and tracked the rise and fall of the dotcoms while taking continuing education courses in photography. Eventually, Nina asked her boss to lay her off so that she could prepare her portfolio for art school. Nina received her MFA in Photography in 2005 from the School of Visual Arts. She teaches at CUNY’s New York City College of Technology and the Art Institute of New York.
